City Lights Shining

From my window
I see lights
in small apartments
How are the inhabitants lives going,
I wonder
Perhaps they have found love
Here in the metoroplis
Urban dwellers
need love to survive
In the asphalt jungle
Hundreds, thousands of lights shine
in the metropolitan darkness
Lives are being lived
by my fellow citizens
on this third planet from the sun
Personally, I hope all
goes well for my fellow urbanites
Live rumbles on beneath and above the
sidewalks of Gotham - the home of a million stories

Mathhew, you remind me of my days in San Francisco in the seventies. It was a sane and safe city back then. And I also womdered in those apartment windows about the inhabitants. The last thing I ever thought about it was it being a jungle. Chicagio, yes!SF was more like magical gems. Panagiota

I went to San Francisco many years ago and thought it was beautiful. How safe I don't know. Glad you liked my poem! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

There is such an exciting pulse to a big city that you can feel the vibrations of all the thoughts with their emotions. Excellent Matthew! : ) xxoo
