CAN'T LOOK AWAY

[Verse 1]
We can’t look away from the pain and the sorrow,
From the fear and despair,
The cries of the broken, the lost and the hollow
Are rising in the air.
Still, we turn away,
Like it’s not meant to be,
Trying not to feel it,
Like this shadow
Is just a mystery.

[Chorus]
No… we can’t look away
From the weak and the weary,
We can’t let love fade
Or hide it deep inside.
In this world we’re all a part,
But we don’t live without the heart —
We can’t look away.

[Verse 2]
Have these walls we build
Made it hard to hear?
Have our songs of praise
Covered up their tears?
Did our comfort let us
Turn away from pain?
When love is the call,
Why do we look away?

[Chorus]
No… we can’t look away
From the voiceless and crying,
We can’t let love fade
While the wounded are dying.
This world is ours to heal and restore,
We can’t keep walking past the poor —
We just can’t… look away.

[Bridge]
If you say you love Him,
Then walk into the pain.
Don’t pass by the hurting,
Don’t turn away again.
This call’s not for someone else —
It’s burning in your heart.
Be the bridge, be the light,
And make a brand new start.

[Hook]
Friends, we can’t just watch the storm — be the change in the rain.
You are the answer, not someone else to blame.
Yes… it’s time to get into the rain…
We can’t look away.

[Outro – As A Final Plea]
One heart can spark a fire,
One step begins the path,
One soul can lift another
From the weight of the past.
Heaven’s not a place to hide —
It’s love we bring to the other side.
So be the bridge, get into the rain.
We can’t look away.
Please don’t look away…

Yeah, I have music for most of my lyrics. Some are in various stages, but I’ve got a general idea based on genre and mood. It’s good to hear from you again, I have deep respect for your beautiful and prolific writing!

I remember your name so well. Just didn't recall that you actually wrote songs. I see you have at least three here recently. Like this inspirational one. Do you have melodies to go with them. I have so many songs but few put to music. Wish I had the talent for writing musical notes!
