What makes me smile

What makes me smile is a bright sunny day
When all of one’s cares are taken away
Seeing laden trees covered in green leaves
Shimmering in a soothing gentle breeze.

I smile when I see a downpour of rain
Knowing that the earth’s been refreshed again
That crops will grow, flowers will survive too
Our world doth become a beautiful view.

I smile for today, as it’s a day of rest
A day for us wearing our Sunday best
Wherever you go, whatever you do
May today bring a smile for each of you.
