Dear Paul, for me, your haiku has a beautiful double edge. Though your haiku embraces a moment of movement in Nature, to me, it also embraces disappointments inherent to anticipations and predictions mankind creates and lives with now, and since the beginning of human existence. The duality of your poem is ingenious with striking imagery, shape and profound in its interpretation of "waves" and how it allows me to see how "expectations" come to be then fade just like a "wave", in this present moment and long over time.
