Tobys Tale
There was harmony in the animal kingdom
All the animals got along
But there was one little meerkat called Toby
Whose behaviour was simply just wrong
Popping up here , popping up there
In places he did not belong
Being a know-all and causing trouble
Creating conflict and havoc …then he’d be gone
Toby appeared to enjoy trouble
Rubbing the other animals up the wrong way
With a irritating and mean attitude
Always needing to have the last say
One day Mother bear lovingly hugged Toby
In a gentle kind loving voice asked Toby ‘ Why’
Why do you cause trouble and upset others on purpose?
Being so rude making them angry or cry
Tobys whole being softened , he began to weep
Telling Mother bear that right from the very start
He was lonely ,did not like himself, felt he didn’t belong
Those words melted Mother bears heart
She explained to Toby that we are all equal in the kingdom
No one better than another
That his mean behaviour was not exceptable
How badly he treated the sisters and brothers
Mother bear chatted in depth with Toby
Speaking straight from a mothers heart
He needed to begin loving himself first ,she said
Thats where he needed to start
Toby had many long chats with Mother bear
Over time they become very close
Toby began to love and like himself
A happier future for himself he now chose
There was now harmony in the animal kingdom
They all got along
Including a Meerkat called Toby
Who now had friends and belonged!
