as moth-less street lamps
end our days

our brilliance as we   er
success ourselves out of existence

Hmmm... That last line could be interpreted so many ways. My slant would be that technology will ultimately be our undoing. Splitting the atom may have seemed a brilliant success in its day, but thousands of Japanese might disagree. We shudder to think what comes next. Anyway, someone else may have a different interpretation

With our replacing ecosystems and climate systems with economic and political systems I’d say your interpretation is pretty spot on. ;),

perhaps there are no moths because all the fabrics are synthetic....perhaps...AI moths are needed.....only funnin' Mo, the way you structured this made me slow down and savor each ling....well done.
