The old and new
Open farms where horses run
Back drop of mountains in the sky
Tears of joy are calling to cry
Released, from lessons, to have fun
Valleys filled, freedom to the brim
Driving the ledge, just to feel it
Peace wraps around me, where I sit
Tossing thoughts like a haircut trim
Some old ones, no longer welcome
Heavy weights, I choose to let go
The still life of mountains, I know
Stand by me and where I came from
Now just me, standing in the breeze
Saying hello to a warm day
A new life with new things to say
While the old melts, like winter freeze
