Rational me is capable and whole
Irrational me has complete lack of control

Rational me is happy and relaxed 
Irrational me panics and cracks

Rational me views life in a positive light
Irrational me battles crippling fear without hope in sight

Rational me makes the most of every day
Irrational me wants to sleep the day away

Rational me is clear...has clarity
Irrational me is afraid…engulfed by anxiety

Rational me sees beauty and light
Irrational me faces a darker plight

Rational me lives life on the right track
Irrational me suffers debilitating panic attacks

Hm, I am not alone in this after all. I love your way of taking a subject and writing so very well about it Deb, that is such a gifted pen to do so! It's nice when the 'rational me' prevails, even for a while. Well, who can blame us, wars and rumors of wars, the pandemic just a few short years ago, yikes. It would be a miracle or strong meds to not be anxious sometimes with all this world has been going through! Hugs to you my sweet friend, I feel you wrote this about me ;)

Oh I meant, because I get Panic and anxiety attacks, when I tell someone here, I see in their eyes right away, if they have them too, they almost look relieved to know someone gets it and understands! :)

This is me on a Monday morning. On a serious note, this disabling condition can hit you for six, and seems to be on the rise more and more now. Maybe the hundred a mile lifestyle we all lead isn't helping any.
