My Love

My Love, Honeybunch

Your skin glows like the plum, blossoms worker as the sunflower in the purest hope of spring.
My yearning heart rises to your bass drum voice and leaps like a kangaroo at the whisper of your name, Honeybunch.
The evening ascends in on a great vulture wing.
I am calmed by your very stiff canvas that I carry into the twilight of dirtbeams and hold next to my liver.
I am filled with hope that I may dry your tears of Dr. Pepper.
As my appendix falls from your colon, I am reminded of your pool.
In the hushed, I listen for the last splash of the spring.
My heated liver breathes inside my soldier. I wait in the crystal moonlight for your secret gun so that we may hike as one, liver to liver, in search of the glorious orange sensual desert of love.

Sara, this really made me laugh, and I needed that! I took your advice and wrote a 'love poem' generated by PS, it was pretty fun! Thank you for sharing your lighthearted fun poem and how we could share in on it by creating one ourselves, my stomach hurt from laughing, which surprised me in light of the sad mood I've been in with news of sorrow gripping my heart. You are such a dear, you lifted my heart tonight. I shared your poem with my sister over the phone, she laughed so hard! :)
