Notes About The Poem

September 14, 2025, entered in Jamie Patterson's “The Stumble and Rise” contest

May I Have This Dance

I was trying to be debonair,
but my feet proved an unwieldy pair.
I fell flat on my face
    but recovered with grace.
Then I danced like the great Fred Astaire.

Ahhh!! Seems like I saw how a contest is going on and if this is an entry it reads like a good contender to me. I like how you brought in Fred Astair. Way to go. Sara K
