Leaving Is Such a Trivial Thing

Leaving is such a trivial thing
You call it injustice, wont stand for it
Departure imminent.

Your daily bits and bytes
No longer.
What will be left of you
Some ghosts in a search engine?

Empty emotion, empty spaces
Zapped wisdom, but maybe the spirit
Remains

Well, leaving is such a trivial thing
One byte away, one click
Your soul and spirit,
Words and critique,
Hard truths, left in limbo

Hey Mo. Didn't realize you've been around for awhile. As someone who has come and gone here over the years I can relate. Some got upset I deleted my poems but life goes on. And on...

Yes there is a lot that needs to be changed, like integrating the syllable counter in the edit poem page, allowing notifications for a poem/poet one is following, reply to a reply to a reply , in app notifications on comments, notifications on replies to comments etc etc. This I think would improve interactions on here

Ugh! The ratings. Everyone got a 7 lol. There's a lot of things I would change here, but change comes slow. I was the one who recommended the audio feature and I'm glad they added it, though the YouTube feature is a bit odd

Alot longer. If I remember correctly I think I joined ps back in 2012 where we used to rate people's poetry . The highest rating was a 7. That feature was taken out for obvious reasons

Yes we leave imprints, impressions behind us. Our mere existence leaves a trail for good or bad. Your poem I think achieved 2 main objectives of expressing your thoughts clearly and giving the reader something to ponder think more deeply about and wonder about what they would do or do if had to leave or stay. well arranged piece . Words well placed. Title well chosen to grab readers attention immediately, enticing them to find out more. Very best regards David in NZ

I suppose that would all depend on who is leaving, would it not? Now if you were to leave, that would not be a trivial thing. Do you know, that I still think about the poem you wrote about taking a trip with your son and the way you described the highway as a black snake. I haven't forgotten that. This poem is sad to me, Marugu.

Hi DT. I am surprised you remember that poem. Thanks for the comment. I actually deleted my account, just created a new one
