Her Name Is Ocean

Mother Natures child ….her name is Ocean
Independent , abundant with emotion
When her body of water is clean
Her mood is calm and serene

Countless days she is displeased with mankind
With those humans who are ignorant and blind
Treating her as a garbage bin
Just heaving their rubbish in

The days her waves crash with rage
Her anger has ascended to the next stage
Watching her marine life dying or distressed
From those humans who couldn’t care less

Aware mankind is working toward positive change
Dedication and education maintained
In time no longer a-washed with debris
Her marine life protected and free

Dear Deb, A great poem about saving our seas and oceans. I am with you 100% that humans do not own the land. It is only given to us, and we must show respect and be the caregivers we are called to be. A superb call to action! Autumn, Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Being near the sea I can identify with the sentiments you have so thoughtfully expressed Deb. Everyday I am a witness to the way we treat our waters...so sad. Keep being a friend to this precious planet of ours, keep writing such poems to remind us all of our sacred duty....take care my dear friend.

It saddens me what mankind is doing to the sea and the planet. Mother nature is warning us more and more and still we ignore her and treat earth like an open bin. Emilia : )

In London they still pump human waste into the sea, humans are the enemy of nature. Have a lovely weekend Deb.
