The river's Winter copy of the sky
Once brazed by its fist, beneath
Still ice, shatters like glass.

This hits like a single, perfect fracture--sharp, quiet, unforgettable. "Once brazed by its fist" is such a fierce contrast to the stillness beneath. A whole season captured in one reflective breath.
