mother you always have my love

in the wonderful month of may
you were sent from way up above
from God with a heart full of love

Indeed, my mother saved me many times from my father's stern wrath -- maybe a beating would have served me immediately better...but her love has made my share of poetry.

Lovely poem Paula. Here’s a Mother’s Day factoid for your perusal and one I had to look up as being a Brit I got confused regarding the different dates US and UK hold Mother’s Day: In the UK, Mother's Day (also known as Mothering Sunday) is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent, which is typically in March. In 2025, this was March 30th. In the US, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, which is May 11th in 2025. :) Cheers - Gary
