                                      red-hot intense heat
                                  flowing lava starts sizzling -

Anne-Lise, it sure could be hell for anything that gets too close. It's a stark reminder of what exists deep within our planet. Hard to believe it's there. As you highlight, we live in a marvelous and varied world with a lot going on underneath. Smiles!

Dear Anne-Lise, your haiku blazes with raw, elemental force where each word crackling with heat and wonderful imagery. I felt the molten power beneath the surface, that sense of nature’s fury and the edge of the unknown. Your haiku is quite incredible, Anne-Lise. Words like "flowing lava starts sizzling" immediately spring to mind. Also, the image is so suitable.
