Wheeling A Loving Deal

It was getting to be close to happy hour when a lone star still on a fast track was inside an entertainment amusement park claiming he needed a nice late pick three.

“You need a late pick three to understand your true wants and needs,” a voice trying to cool down exclaimed watching things get darker, “go to Rocko’s Wheel, he is a winner and will put you in the right direction.”

“Rocko’s Wheel, is this a game of chance?” Deano put his cigarette out.

“Tiz Showbiz kid,” the mysterious vocal explained about the glitzy place. “You are on the sweeping edge of a great lifelong investment.”

Despite the gloomy skies warning they were going to take away the warming sunshine the decision was made by Deano to take the risk. Upon reaching the table that needed a good spin for the best result a chill ran down the famous individual.

“Here take this Deano,” Rocko mentioned giving him a cape, “now it’s Deano’s cape, if anything it will make you look good, you know when you are in public doing a show.”

That is when Rocko went back to his gaming duties and gave the circular machine a whirl, “I get you a good allowance, Mr. Deano, I promise you that.”

As it slowed down Deano patiently waited for a result, “It stopped on Bobby Brinkley, and that one is the winner.”

“But what about the allowance?” Deano inquired.

“Go down to First Avenue and show that you are wearing your cape,” Rocko instructed wanting his directed character to have a suave image, “then there is a Turkish restaurant place called Aktulgali, it is three years old.”

“Good cuisine I am told,” he mentioned after a pause.

Shaking his head affirmatively Deano understood the scripted action then headed out the door to pick up another allowance before hearing one last thing, “you must stand firm on your turf.”

A few minutes later Deano found the address and opened the door. There sitting in his usual place was Martz Mae screaming in his cell phone, “are you happy Sonrisa!”

Closing the small flap Martz saw Deano, “I thought Sonrisa was a winner instead she was a raging gold digger.”

“Sorry to hear that,” Deano offered condolences.

“I must stop drinking,” he reminded himself as the waiter brought a refill of liquor, “no mas tequila,” and the staff member backed off after hearing the order.

“What can I do for you?” Martz returned his attention to Deano.

“I am here to pick up my allowance,” Deano stated lighting his power play prop.

“Money?”

“Has to do with getting Bobby Brinkley on Rocko’s Wheel over in the gaming area,”

“Bobby Brink Rock Wheel,” Martz mumbled, “oh allowance.”

Suddenly there was a commotion from the kitchen and the maître d stormed out, “how dare you forget my name, I am on every cover of every fashion magazine!”

“Oh yeah,” Martz quickly reminded himself seeing Bobby’s eyes meet Deano’s, “the daughter of David and Kristy Brinkley.

“Cigarette?” Deano showed he had a spare.

A few months later at a reception for a wedding the mysterious advisor, Martz and Rocko decided to address a certain issue.

“So, Rocko, I hear your wheel is rigged,” Martz reported and Rocko tried to be honest.

“I do not know anything about that, but they do make a winning pair.”

“Cheers to that,” applauded the trio toasting Deano and Bobby’s good fortune.
