Their Story: Where it all started

“Jack stop come on now.” Meredith said trying to get Jack to stop kissing her neck. “But I like kissing your neck. You taste good right here at the base of your throat.” Jack started kissing her neck again drinking her in like a great wine. She rolled her eyes at him. “We were talking you know. About our future. You know the future where you might get lucky that future. Now can you stop acting like vampire.” Jack kept kissing her body while his hands wondered up her shirt. “Why talk when we could be having fun?” Jack asked pulling her close to him.

“JACKSON ANTHONY MCKINNEY!! Will you please stop trying to get into my pants so we can figure out our future? It’s important at least to me it is. So can you act more like a man in his twenties and not a horny teenager?” Jack slumped back into his chair with a sad look on his face. “I guess I’m in trouble now you called me by my full name. What is it that you want to talk to me about? Please tell me baby I’m all ears.” He said pulling his ears forward and wiggled them trying to get her to laugh.

Meredith turned sideways and leaned back into Jack’s chest. Wrapping his arms around her. She nuzzled her head into his neck taking in his scent. “Comfy baby hmm?” Jack said kissing the top of her head. “I couldn’t be more comfy if you were memory foam.” She said kissing the base of his throat.

Jack laughed and lifted her face to his and kissed her full on the mouth.

“So you know that I’m at Hudson University for law. I’m still going to become a cop. In a couple of months I’ll be done with school then the real training starts.” Meredith said sounding happy smiling up at him. Jack looked at her with fear and shock on his face. “Why can’t you become a lawyer? I mean why a cop? You can get shot at. I don’t want you to get hurt Meredith. What if we start a family? I’m not going to raise our kids alone!” Jack said trying not to yell her making her feel bad.

She got up and put her hands on her hips. “Have you been talking to my father? I’ll be fine. And I’ll be trained by the best New York has to offer. You know people who have been on the NYPD for more then thirty years. Plus they have vests and everything to keep everyone on the force safe. And as for having kids we need to get married first. I can take time off or do paper work if need be. Nothing is set in stone yet Jack!!” Meredith said trying to get her point across.

“That is it right there stone. I don’t want be visiting you with our children at the grave yard that has a stone with your name on it Meredith!! Why can’t you be happy just staying home and taking care of our family? But I guess that isn’t good enough for the smartass, I’m too good for anything Meredith Anne Rosemen! If you don’t change your mind about becoming a cop I don’t think I can be with you. I’m sorry but I rather not have you then to lose you to some nut job with a gun!!”

She stood there with disappointed look on her face. Trying not to cry. Meredith didn’t want Jack to see her cry. He has never seen her cry ever. And he wasn’t about to this time either. “If that is how you feel then maybe we shouldn’t be engaged at all. I want to fallow my dream and become someone in the world make a difference. All you want me to do is pop out one baby after another for you. Maybe you should have your ring back. Go ask Scrubbs to marry you. I’m sure she’ll jump your bones soon after you show her the ring.” She took the ring off her finger and put it in his hand.
Jack sat there trying to think of what to say to her but before he could Meredith was gone and he didn't know if he he would see her again

A few weeks later Meredith finally left her home after many atemps of her mom and dad trying to get her out of her room. Her two best friends J.G Lights and Angel Green tried to call her and text her but Meredith turned off her cell phone. J.G even came to her house to try to talk to her. Saying things to get her to open her door. But nothing worked at all. She went to the college campus library. She sat in the far corner away from anyone trying to hide behind a stack of books she put around herself blocking everyone else. After a couple hours of reading the same ten pages over and over again a young man came up to her table pulling out a chair. "Hey you mind every other table is full or has dumbasses trying to buy pot." Meredith looks up trying to stop herself from crying. "Yeah sure go ahead I’m just finishing up." Meredith chokes out. Danny Papirs opens his book and starts reading. He looks up from his reading. "What is wrong?" Meredith cleaned her face off and blew her nose. "It’s nothing at all just the same crap drama that is my life. You know the story sweet girl finds the love of her life and gets screwed over.”

Danny got closer to her really looking at her face. Even when crying she still looked beautiful. "How can I be the love of your life we just met?" Meredith chokes out a laugh and closes her book and stuffed it into her bag. "Trust me you don't want to know. We just met how do you know that you can help me? My name is Meredith Rosemen." He got even closer to her. "Well Meredith I’m sure whatever or whoever got you crying I’m sure that it isn't worth it. And I know for a fact hat you will have much better days."

Meredith looked at him through her red blood shot eyes and tried to smile. "How do you know that I will have better days? You don't even know me. What is your name?"

Danny smiled at her. "My name is Danny Papirs and I know that you will have better days because you are beautiful and amazing person. you want to go to the campus coffee shop maybe have some tea or something?" "Sure but don't you have to study? Or do you just to the library just to pick up chicks?" Meredith asked leaning her head on her hand looking at him with a watery smile. Danny laughed and put his book in his bag. "Damn is that so easy to see? No i don't pick up chicks at the library. It's just seems that you should be out of your head for a while and go and have tea with someone new. We don't have to talk about that is your life." She looked at him trying to figure out if he is for real. "Sure let's go." Said Meredith standing up.

Ten minutes later they were at the coffee shop talking about everything and nothing at te same time. After a few hours of talking and alot of tea and coffee. They get up to leave; not knowing that they were being watched by Jack McKinney from outside. Gripping the ring she gave back to him making a mark in the plame of his hand. Jack dropped the flowers on the sidewalk and walked off pulling his hood up. Not wanting to believe what he saw the woman who he loved with another man. A few minutes later Meredith and Danny leave the shop going back to the library making plans to meet up again. With a crunch of her shoe, Meredith stepped on the flowers that Jack threw away with the love he had for her.
