The Talented Lady With A Lucky Pair

Claiming to be out of the money two maturing men Hal and Dale were trying to recount a simple story that revolved around a girl from their younger years who for some reason they could not recall her name.

“She was in that talent contest on the beach,” Hal mentioned while staring out into the sunset, “and we used to call her Miss Over There since,”

“She was over there,” Dale confirmed.

“That is right,” Hal remembered, “she was over there.”

Last century when there was no one named economy that was stupid, Hal and Dale were always looking to enjoy the brightness of a brand-new day in a tourist tease called “Cookie Cove,” a place where money flowed, and warming trends overpowered northern city cold.

“Cookie Cove was a resort corridor where she could have a weekend stay turn into some nice financial pay,” Hal took a swig from the bottle.

“Make her mark having the spotlight showing her off in the dark,” Dale added.

“And that is why everyone was a winner on Lady’s Island,” Hal stood up, “Ladies held their turf then sprinted away.”

“Especially if they wanted to collect metals in a second trying to be Miss Auramet,” Dale commented.

“Unlike today things are sloppy and the ladies are not competing on the turf and mud is flying all over,” Hal watched the orange ball in the sky start to say goodbye.

Sitting in a dark booth inside the “Streaming Gulf Steak Out” Lalali dreamt of taking home the purse for Miss Auramet. “Hear my prayer,” she quietly whispered about the show that was almost ready to begin when two gentlemen entered.

“I think that Miss over there is Miss Auramet,” Hal pointed and Lalali heard the comment and had a magical jolt of energy.

“I think you are right,” Dale agreed as she passed by them headed backstage where there were extra sitting stools.

A few minutes later Lalali honestly went into the glowing shine, “I just wanted to let you know I am out of the money and,”

There was silence in the establishment, “and I am going to perform selections that are a bit of both country and rock.”

At that point, the audience clapped and when the votes were tallied the final pair determined the title holder. Hal and Dale were right, “Miss Over There was now Miss Auramet and Lalali was the Queen of Lady’s Island.”
