The Pick-up Chapter Eighteen Church and Patch-in

Chapter Eighteen Church and Patch-in

Church

Lucky leaned his lanky frame accross Talon and unlocked the chain securing her to the bike rack. **chain** **Not neccessary** **no one steal Talon**. She was getting downright chatty.

***What would you do if someone tried?***

For reply, twin sparks of sizzling electricity forked out, grounding against the metal of the rack with loud reports. The areas struck were etched and burnt, giving off acrid whisps of smoke. Lucky recovered from almost losing his balance and locked the chain to the rack.

Then he took a step back to reset his stance... and his jaw dropped in amzement! Talon had followed him up and was now perched on the center stand, rocking slightly. Raven was watching them from the porch, eyes wide in quisical amazement. **Amusement?!!**

A few minutes later, Silver Tom, the Sergeant at Arms, made his way accross the deck to Lucky and asked "Ok to call for church now?" Lucky nodded. "Fifteen minutes." he replied. Tom made the announcement.

Twenty minutes later they were gathered around the largest table in the Exit.

Sorin brought them their drinks and snacks, collected the tarrif, deposited it in the til. Then he slid the 'anvil' out of it's drawer and placed it in front of Lucky, designating that the head of the table.

The other officers took their places; Ogre to the left and Silver Tom to the right. Saniyah, as acting secretary, sat next to Ogre. Raven took the treasurer's seat next to Tom.

Lucky produced the gavel from his poke, raised it up and delivered a resounding blow to the anvil.

"Church is now in session." he stated. "We will forego the reading of the minutes and all that other horse manuer." He added.

"Is there any old, pending business to bring up?"

"I move we make the positions now held by Raven and Saniya
permanent." from Sorin. "I second it." from Vince.

"It has been moved and seconded that the position of treasurer of the Uninvieted, now held by Raven, be made permanent. How say we all?" The vote went down, unanimous.

"It has been moved and seconded that the position of secretary of the Uninvieted, now held by Saniya, be made permanent. How say we all?" The vote went down, also unanimous.

There was a round of table thumping, followed by a round cheers then a round of Olympia bottled beer. Or two.

"Next order of business on the docket is the swearing in of Ruby Tuesday as a full member and brother of the Uninvited Motorcycle Club of Washington." He struck the gavel to the anvil again. "How say we all?" Again, unanimous.

Again there was a round of table thumping, followed by the cheers and another round of Olys.

"Is there any new business?" he looked around.

Oger raised a paw. "I started a bit of an investigation into The Sons of Synergy." He paused for a moment, then continued "They have been turned down by the Bandidos and the Hombres. There's no way the Angels or the Jokers want them.

So I propose we offer to patch them over as an affiliate club as prospects, then patch them in one at a time, when and if they deserve it.

"So moved." said Lucky, "Is there a second?" Ruby looked hesitant, then raised her hand. "I'll second it. They are all OK by me."

"Moved and seconded. On the docket for next church. Discuss it among yourselves and be prepared to vote when next we meet."

"If there is no further business," he declared and crashed the anvil one last time. "Church is adjourned!"
