The Loving Wall of Trump--Part 1

“The Loving Wall of Trump”

By Patrick D Collier

Part 1

The room was filled with unknown author’s I have never heard of or met. This was my first book created and adored from the public. I got an invitation stating my book titled- Me loving her- a book inspired by my beautiful wife Debra won first place in a writer’s contest I submitted in months ago. The winner won $3,500 and a trip for two to Mexico. 10 years of marriage wow time flies bye when your madly in love. I never loved a woman so much to share my work with and dedicate a book to. Debra was magical to me I would move mountains for her. She is the only reason I kept writing. One day I gave it all up, burning all my poems and short stories. Debra at the time was a security officer part time and a full -time college student working on her masters degree in journalism. Standing in an alley way with a burning barrel trash can I slowly one by one placed each beautiful piece of my work into the fire. Debra was on duty covering the alley ways at night she saw the fire and smoke and instantly called the police and had me arrested. I stayed the entire night in jail and a ticket that was heavy to follow me as I got out. When I was released standing waiting for me was this beautiful fully dressed security guard with my half way burned pages of poetry. I instantly fell in love with her. She believed in me and my passion for writing. I stand here to accept this award and she is nowhere in the crowd. I texted her the information to where it would be. I grew worried. I accepted my award shook a couple of hands and received my check and two tickets to Mexico and fled the scene, my Debra isn’t here make’s this award meaningless. I Uber home because I hate driving and driving hates me. Debra’s car is parked in the drive way. I get out the Uber and all of a sudden receive a text from Debra It reads, Congrats, honey I’m at my mother’s she isn’t feeling well be home before you make it back. Text me when your, on your way. I love you! The Uber driver drove off. I texted Debra “on my way”, Minutes later my neighbor Devin begin walking out my door kissing my wife good bye fixing his pants. I stood in the street close to the drive way with a winning trophy in one hand and two tickets to Mexico in the other, and a broken heart that bleed tears of sorrow. My wife noticed me seconds after Devin did. They both stood in silence looking directly at me. My wife shaking in fear, Devin swallowed spit with guilt and I just turned around and walked away. Debra didn’t call for me nor ran after to even explain. 15 minutes within walking I had 35 missed calls from Debra and 55 text messages that followed. I would never forget this night, who could, When it’s right before the count down of the year ending of 2018. 10, I called the airport to register my tickets I won. 9, I had no clothes with me but the ones on my back. I would rather go naked then turning around to go back to that house. 8, visions of Debra kissing my neighbor haunted my thoughts. 7, I have never left Houston Texas before. 6, Debra is the only woman I have ever loved. 5, I called a Uber driver. 4, the Uber driver arrived quick. 3, Wow, I’m I really doing this? 2, I arrived to the airport with 15 mintues to board. 1, looking out the window of the plane saying in a whisper happy new year! 2019 stared me in the eyes seeing nothing but pain and a gift for writing. I arrived toTamaulipas Mexico which was full of anger due to the wall of our new elected president Donald Trump being built. Riding through the city in a beat down cab that smelt of beer and corn, I arrived a bit nervous being a black American, well an American period. Thanks Trump! I get to a hotel that looked decent. I was able to cash my check I won from the book contest and changed out the American money into Mexican peso’s. I got to my hotel room that smelt of lime and roses. I turned on the TV and right away the talk about Trumps wall and the government shut down was on. I immediately turned it off, I had enough hearing about it in the states and my heart had a hole in it from my cheating wife. I layed in the bed with a crying heart and bottled memories that soon broke in my head and spilt on my brain of Debra. I then got angry and started feeling like punching something. I screamed and hit the pillow like a young high school girl breaking up with her boyfriend. Next, I looked at my award and thought to myself I’m talented and gifted. I took that little confidence and said whatever happens in Mexico stays in Mexico. I got dressed and walked down stairs to the lobby room of the hotel and asked the front desk agent, where to go to meet hot beautiful women? He looked at me with silence. I said to myself damn! I need a translator. Then he started laughing and lucky for me he spoke fluent English. His name was Oscar and he moved back to Mexico from California due to his mother who was ill. He has been working at the hotel and a club promoter at night. He said hot girls? I said yea. He said I get off in an hour I will show you Mexican Goddesses. He then said meet me here in an hour then gave me a bottle of Tequila. I went back up to my room and started sipping the Tequila slow thinking about what kind of trouble can I get into tonight. 1 hour exactly approached and the night is forever young, because we are forever young at heart. I used to say this to Debra before our dates. I bet your wondering what’s my name. Can’t tell you that but I can keep continuing telling my story. The Tequila was kicking in I started to feel hot inside and sexy outside. Oscar was now dressed nicely standing by the front desk he was excited to see me. We smiled and started walking the sexy streets of Tamaulipas Mexico. Oscar was nice and very helpful giving me information on the history of Tamaulipas and the wars and Indians that used to roam the country. I didn’t know that. We went to 3 clubs and wow! The women loved me and danced with me so different from girls from the states. It felt like they were making love to me while dancing. Maybe it was the Tequila to, I don’t know. We finally went to a strip club. I never been to one so Oscar started laughing but gave me the rules and also the schemes the strippers can play for money. I grew tired after 7 lap dances. I was ready to go home until a woman walked on the stage. She was beautiful, about 5 foot 4 and a coke bottle shape body. Red lipstick and brown fiery eyes. Mexican Goddess at it’s best. I told Oscar I want her. I was half way drunk spiting as I requested for who I thought seemed as this Mexican Goddess Oscar spoke of. Oscar laughed and said no she isn’t for you. I said how much? He got upset and laughter was absent his from his smile. Screaming she isn’t for you! Then he walked away headed to the front of the stage area. Music started playing I know this song I heard it on a commercial before. Sara Vaughan “Whatever Lola Wants” The Mexican Goddess started singing it and dancing sexy. Her voice was amazing! And her body was cutting my hands that felt eager to touch her. Oscar stood close to the stage just watching her. He seemed like he knew her. A stripper came by asking me for a lap dance and she spoke okay English. I told her I wasn’t interested in a lap dance. But if you could tell me who that woman is on stage? I’d pay you 100 peso’s. She told me her name was Catalina and she was the owner of this strip club and she never strips but only sings and collects her cut from each stripper. I paid her and kept my eyes on the prize. Oscar walked back up to me saying its time to go! Walking behind him was the Mexican Goddess. She spoke English with a sexy Mexican tongue. She said introduce me to your American friend Oscar. Now you can know my name. I said my name is Patrick. She said Patricio. Hola, I’m Catalina and she leaned over and kissed me right on my lips. Soon as I pulled away from the kiss. Bang! Oscar punches me! Lights out. I guess he was closer then I thought to Catalina. I awake looking at beaded majestic stars on a ceiling. I’m in a bed with silk sheets and the room smelt of pink roses. Catalina is coming out the shower in a robe with ice in a bucket. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her as she started to take care of my black eye. She said don’t speak rest. Laying down with ice in a towel covering my eye, she then started singing with a guitar. Her voice was soothing even with an eye in so much pain I had to glance at her. 2019 so far is not bad at all is what I told myself. She stopped playing the guitar and turned on the TV and Trump's wall and all that talk was on once again. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I looked at the TV and her and I said why tears? She said I never been to the United States and planned on it but now this. She always wanted to be a singer and felt better opportunities would be in the U.S is what she cried to me about. I felt bad for her. Next, I did the boldest thing ever. I looked in her eyes and said, Marry me. Then you could get a green card and follow your dreams. I said it with so much excitement! She got up and grabbed the biggest gun I ever seen and said get out! I got up and walked out scared as ever. She closed the door behind me and soon as I started to walk away, she opened the door and said, when do we get married Patricio?
