The Expressionist

Drew took too long to explain himsle as far as Tanyar was concerned.  "Where's my painting?"  Tanyar rolled her eyes, hands on hips, and exhausted after two hours of ripping her apartment apart.  This painting was a labor of life and deadline.  Sure, she loved her art, but there was something urging her to complete this project and his name was Saiynon.   He was somewhat of an art enthusiast, but in truth, he's a Tanyar enthusiast with an art gallery.

"I'm not sure where it went, Tan.  The last place I saw it was in your den up against the wall next to your easel.  Did you sell it?"

"Never mind," Tanyar remembered something. Drew walked over to her putting his right hand on her left shoulder pressing his cheek to hers.  "What happened, Tan?"

"It wasn't stolen," she shook her head and put her hands on her hips again.  "It's hanging up on a wall somewhere three hundred miles.  How I could forget I did that I have no idea."

"I do," Drew laughed.

"Do tell," Tanyar smiled.

"You're getting old," Drew said.  "It was bound to happen.   You sent it to Oshay, didn't you?"

"Yeah, I'll have to let Saiynon know in a few."

"Why won't you take those pills?"  Drew looked at her dining table or her prescription bottles.

She took a deep breath, grabbed her totebag, Drew's hand, and headed for the ront door.  She called Saiynon on the way to the car.   He siad nothing for a minute and then shared, "That's all right, maybe we can showcase some other pieces of yours.  We'll do an entire exhibit for you.  we need more artists like you here.  Let's talk about it tonight over dinner."  He paused.

"No, Saiynon, not tonight.  How about lunch tomorrow?  Oh, I'll be bringing my friend, Drew.  Is that all right with you?"  She got in the car and Drew closed the door for her.

"Sure," he sighed.  "You two can meet me Dorian's next door at one."

"Excellent.  Tomorrow at one then," Tanyar hung up.  "I just want to let you know I'm using you, Drew.  He wants more."

"Oooh use me, baby, use me all night long," Drew laughed.  "I should bring my actual girlfriend just to put you on front street.  But I'll give you a break."  Upon that thought, he called his girlriend, Gaia to invite her along for dinner.  She and Tanyar got along so well; unlike his previous girlfriends that made her meditate and chant for him at least an hour per day.

"I'm not looking forward to tomorrow," she said as soon as he hung up.  "Can she come?"

"Yeah, she'll be there.  Maybe you should ask her to go tomorrow with you," Drew ofered.

"No, if a man's there, he won't try anything and stay focused on the art, you know?" Tanyar started to bite her nails.

"Don't be nervous.  You ain't at lunch yet," he rested the car at a stop light.

"I know.  We'll see wha happens," Tanyar turned on the radio.  She started rapping with Rihanna and Pharrell.

The End
