Necropolis: Chapter I Part VIII Coming to Port..

The hum of the bed gives way to the hum of jet engines and the bed fades into the cramped but comfortable cabin recliner chairs offered on most transatlantic hydro-planes that make the Northern Atlantic route to New Golgothica City from Neo New York. Well, New Golgothica is more a city-state than a city in its own small nation, run by a small consortium of nations under the protective eyes of the United Nations. But that is another story. A story Nero will learn about the hard way later. For now, his head rocks gently too and frow in time with the motion of the waves as they break upon the hydro-jets sharp bough and low hung stubby wings supporting two high-power jet turbine engines. Nero is dreaming of nothing, neither sleep nor awake but lost in the space between. He hears the captain announce the E.T.A of approach to New Golgothica Hydro Port designed to dock with the,
"...sleek new white Waterwraith-2030R-Quad-Ultra-Dynamic-Twin-Helicons-Jet-Engines and ultra tuff kevlar hull..."
'God,' thinks Nero, 'everything is a commercial nowadays. Even the frickin' captain is trying to sell them on the advantages of the hydro-plane...'
'Well, whatever cuts cost these days!' But, these thoughts are not safe with anyone only Himself as he listens to the co-pilot drone on about New Golgithica's nickname,
"...everyone calls this the “Isl. of the Dead” out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean two thousand miles for England, ("alife time form America" interjects Nero thoughts) once called Emeraldland Ile. By the Celtics that settled it over a millennia ago."
The Co-Captian fades out,"...But disappeared without a trace before it was founded by the Church to be the repository of all the civilized world dead..."
Once again Nero lets the drone of the Co-captain go in and on, but this does pick up his attention, and when the droning voice states, '...that could have been the reason all the Cletis jumped into the freezing ocean' ...trailed off into silence...
