My Room
Episode 4 - Food Adventure
The shortest cut to a man’s heart is his mouth but I really don’t think that is so much of a truth because if it is to be true then it will mean everyone in My Room has at a point or the other have access to my heart because I have eaten the cooked food of everybody in the room except for two of them which I am not even sure if have eaten theirs or not.
But the most memorable one was Tola’s food, OMG!!! This girl can cook ehn, in fact out of she (Tola) and Florence, I really don’t know who cooks better, and so on this blessed day which the Lord Himself made, I went as usual to the room but this time without Ayinla (because Ayinla was under protection in town) and fortunately for my hungry self, cooked this amazingly delicious Rice and Beans with Stew that was baptized with fish…hmmm…yummy! Immediately she offered me, I did not even bother to say thank you or follow the normal protocol of “haa, don’t worry oshey” me wey hunger don almost kill… I devoured the food satisfyingly and Adetola decided to offer me free Pepsi, haaa what an enjoyment that day.
But unfortunately, my intestines were waging wars around that time, they had a kind of disagreement that I cannot even explain myself, their war became brutal in the middle of the night after enjoying the company of Adetola at Faculty of Agric arena the same night. How I got to the School Health Centre, I still have no idea, but all thanks to my awesome bunk-mate who came to my rescue. I found myself at health center the following morning where I was administered injections and almost got admitted but all thanks to aje s’ara ….lol.
