MY ROOM STORY - EPISODE 12
EPISODE 12 – WATER SCARCITY
One common phenomenon on OAU campus aside White house and Yellow House mass failure is water scarcity. We have protested and agitated, yet no breakthrough. Pipes are spoil every day on OAU campus at least that is their most regular excuse for the erratic water supply we experience every now and then.
On this particular day, as usual, I went to visit them in my room, but unfortunately for me and fortunately for Caroline, it was a day she needed water. While exchanging pleasantries, she jokingly asked, “what did you bring for me?” and unfortunately for my broke self, I had nothing on me and so immediately I diplomatically told her nothing, and jokingly told her to use me for whatever she wanted, that was a statement I am still regretting because my body is still paining me especially my back and shoulders.
I was thinking she would give me ticket to the other room and allow me free passage through her physical boundary, until she said “How do we get water?” OMG! Water?...issorite.
I volunteered to take her and Florence to “The Meat Republic” where I could use my influence to get them water, of course we got water, but I did the fetching. I carried a yellow keg and a bucket for balancing. On her way to “our room” girls were just admiring my muscles only God will know maybe some of them were turned on. Some of them were thinking Caroline was my girlfriend and so they were shouting “I go love o” haaa!!! My life. I felt no pain until I dropped the keg and bucket of water. My shoulder is still paining till now. Things I did for love sha.
