Meeting In The Middle Of Nowhere

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere there was a place where the sun burned in a way that shined light while humans played. Kristo Skye was a native hawk to the desert community and he knew the desolated setting like the palm of his hands. Being a take charge dude to these sandy relations he was able to translate the mirages that haunted the region.

For the most part life’s challenges in this situation came down to figuring out the truth while asking the question whether things were imagined or reality. At this time Kristo had to walk everywhere and not having shoes it was no day at the beach. But this day would be different. Going from point A to B seemed smoothly proceeding along and this act of good fortune concerned the lone soldier caught in the heated setting that had a backdrop worthy of a biblical verse.

Suddenly another person was travelling through this paradise lost. “You Kristo?” A voice sounded inside the silence.

“Yes, I am Kristo the son of Mr. and Mrs. Skye,” he responded, “how did you know my name?”

“The Abbot told us,”

“So, you are a monk?’

“I am a monk of the highest order,” he said, “and I am here to request you to come and see The Abbott, he needs to explain something to you, Kristo.”

“So, lead the way monk.” That is what he did when escorting Kristo through a cave down to a royal display worthy of a King. Looking around still in bare feet the peaceful man started to be concerned about the problem plaguing the spiritual community who dedicated their lives to living in the hidden fortress.

Soon the Abbot appeared with the accusation, “it was an animal trick from across the border putting the fear of God into us when they claimed awful things would happen to our secure environment here, they are animals on the other side of the border,”

“My dear Kristo,” a nun interrupted, “you see they sent a memo to us from a gemologister that said their movers and shakers were going to cause a major problem.”

“You see the dow possibility is reality and it could be done,” The Abbot added.

“My dear Abbot what is worst thing that could happen if their movers and shakers caused a major problem?”

“Our world around us here would crumble,”

“And where would you go?” Kristo questioned which made the nun and Abbot shrug their shoulders sending the message they did not have a clue.

“To a better place,” Kristo told them, “to a better place but in the meantime make this cave so strong the movers and shakers could not damage it.”

“But Kristo,” the Abbot still wanted to know, “where is this better place?”

“The city of angels, Abbot, google the city of angels and get directions.”

Six months later the threat did happen and The Abbot’s world in the middle of nowhere crumbled to rubble. Kristo found out this news and was very saddened as he bought a pair of shoes while on vacation. “I hope the Abbot got to a better place,” he whispered in a prayer like manner while picking up a magazine.

After ordering something at the café he sat down and opened the periodical published in the city of angels and the front cover story was entitled, “The Sexiest Monks Alive”.
