knighted

A few quick corona virus pickup lines...
Are you looking for a dirty girl? 'cause I only washed my hands for 19 seconds.
Back dat a$$ up.. 'bout 6 feet plez.
You know, you can't spell virus without U and I.

I still find it amazing that Right NOW, in the whole WORLD, what's going on? Nothing. *echoes in room* Nothing, Nothing, Nothing.
The old saying, "Well, it's not the end of the WORLD", might have lost it's currency.

On to our story.. Knighted...
When I was little I loved the Arthurian legends about King Arthur, Merlin the wizard and the round table - and that's what my parents read me at bedtime.
One character was Isolde - a girl who was to marry a King in another land - but she accidentally drank a love potion (oops!) and fell in love with a knight named Tristan.

In the books it said Tristan had beautiful "almond" skin.
5 year old Me: "Mama, what's "almond" skin."
Mom: "I'd say It's a golden brown color. *after a moment* Antonio (the gardener), has almond skin."
A few days later Antonio is trimming some rose bushes by our back patio.
I go out, and lean on the railing - silently watching him work
Antonio: "Hello Pequeño" he says ("little one" in Spanish - I knew this.)
*A couple of minutes pass with me watching him closely, in silence*
5 year old Me: "you have beautiful almond skin", I say.
"Por que, gracias!" Antonio says, sounding impressed. (“why, thank you”)
*I turn and run back inside*

To this day, when we go to the cosplay conventions (once a year) - I'm dressed as a knight (with serious helmet hair).

thoughts...
Has anyone ever died from eating cookie dough or are people just trying to ruin my life??

Person: “you don’t take ANYTHING seriously”
Me: *tear in eye* “Wow, you GET me!”

When you walk into a room and forget why - God is playing Sims and just canceled your action.

Person: “I like your name”
Me: “Thanks, I got it for my birthday.”

Anais, Very interesting your 'almond' tones with thoughts.., on cookie dough. The Sims game is a nice way to live vicariously through our inner visions. I want an Alpaca kit, along with chips n dip, in the living room to entertain the guests. -Richard
