In the wooden hole

It was an unforgettable moment in my childhood life.It had happened when i was six years old.I was born in a joint family in a remote village. My mother looked after the family very well. There were eight children in our family.I was the fourth son of our parents. My mother wanted to make the children as good disciplinarians. We learned good habits from the elders of the family members.I was easily attracted by the little things and I was grown up well as a neophilia.I had all the qualities of a rural boy.My hobbies were playing dice ,top, marble, mandala, fishing, gardening and keeping pet animals like dogs, cats and rabbits. One fine morning,a grand father, neighbour had come to my house. He complained that he had lost his money in the wooden box.He also said that I had visited his house in the day before evening. My mother called me and shouted at me..She asked me where the money was.I refused to admit my theft. My brothers and sisters surrounded and dragged me near the wooden hole. The hole was in a huge wooden pillar. They had seen that I would kept anything in the wooden hole. And it was possible only by me to insert my hand and took anything which were inside it.At last my mother beat me mercilessly to give the money..I went near the pillar hesitatingly and put my hand into the wooden hole. The depth of the wooden hole was nearly one foot.I took a small paper package and handed over it to my mother. My mother gave it to the grand father. He opened the package and counted the money. He said that the amount was correct. Then he left my house.Soon all my siblings were very much interested to know what were the other things that were kept in the hole.I was forced to take the things in the hole by my mother.First,I picked out a red top. Then I had taken out a blue top.My elder brother said that the blue was belonged to him.He saw me awkwardly and snatched the blue top. Then I had taken out a dozen of marbles from the hole.My second brother told my mother that those green marbles were owned by him.He blamed me and took six marbles which were in green. My sisters told my mother that the secret of the hole was very interesting. And they requested my mother to search the hole more.My mother insisted me to go further. And I pulled out two bunches of safety pins from the hole.My elder sister said that they were possessed to her.She took them away. Then took two brass dices. My grandma said that those dices were bought in Tripathi last year. And they were lost six months ago.She cursed me by her look. The other things which were taken from the hole were a few anna coins, caps of the soda bottles, colour pencils, nips, small magnets, screws, nails, fish hooks, locks, keys, broken glass bangles, chalk pieces and slate pencils. My mother asked me why did you keep all those things in the wooden hole?I didn't able to answer the question.I blinked for a few minutes. Then I said that it had become a habit for the past one year.I requested my mother to pardon me.My mother advised me to save coins instead of collecting those little things. She said that if you had collected the coins it would be useful for your future.I took her advice positively. That incident paved me to go in a right path.
