Goodbye
It’s time to say …
GOODBYE.
By Desire Kateyera(Correspondent)
And this is a dedication to all of you. Listen and listen carefully because these are words of wisdom.
The fulcrum of this article lies on Matambo versus Mutsago 1996, volume 1, Zimbabwe Law Reports 101 SC page 103 where Mr. Mutsago made this statement “If a witness says he saw water flowing uphill unaided by a pump, you do not judge the veracity by reference to his demeanor, you apply the law of physics.”
There are a plethora of circumstances where we apply the wrong laws, the wrong remedies or the wrong curative measure, but who says that failure to apply the right remedy is the end of it all.
One might have erred a lot of times but there is still room to change for the better. A lot of mechanically impossible and degrading ordinances meant to destroy you have been passed unto your life, but to surmount the society that is always there to chide at your misfortunes, sobbing is not the way to go. Rather, you need to apply energy and determination to stand against the hurdles strewn in your road to success.
Regardless of your background, regardless of your past experiences and regardless of the present utterances by those people, push through the pain!
Milton Kamwendo once said, “What matters in a dog’s fight is not the size of the dog, but the size of the fight in the dog. Similarly what matters in your battle against life is not the size of your body, but how great your mind works hand in hand with determination.
In this world, it’s all about trauma! But the counterfeit for it is not cowardice, its resilience.
What you need to notice is how reaching your destination (success) is thrilling. That is so motivational, but not 100% motivational. Give your colleagues, pedagogues and those surrounding you the right to correct you, lest you go straight into the bundu-forever.
As it seems, this world was not designed for your survival. Why? Whenever you try to work harder, the harder the things turn! Try boy, try little girl!
Your mum, dad or close spouse might be dead or might die today, but the pith of life lies not on dead people. Insanity? It isn’t! The fact that you are alive has greater weight than those deaths. You can’t change nature, but resilience makes sure that you won’t be traumatized any more.
In Luke 23 verse 3, Pilate asks Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?” and He answered him, “you have said so.” Let it be that whenever good is proclaimed, whilst they think that the intricate situation before you would make you retract, you rightfully answer to the affirmative. It is always complicated to be always in a tricky position, but strategic thinking will get you out.
Believe in yourself and you are halfway to success. If you believe you will attain 15 points, the 7,5 points will be a byproduct of your belief. We might never meet again but I honestly loved Murewa High.
In summation, let me say, “The greatest glory in living lies not in never failing but in rising every time we fall. By the time you start having negative feelings about our future, the positive you have changes and becomes negative. By the time you start fearing the worst, the best you have changes to be the worst. Picture that scenario”
Adios!
