Dwelling On A Cliff

After an enduring honor found her without collecting a price a mature maiden was standing at the Dover Cliffs out of money wondering what happened to the time when she was in the perfect show position as the beauty buzz.

Dale was told she was the second coming to a cover girl from a previous century and looking over to the Castle the memory rushed back when they did that photo spread for the magazine that triggered major interest in the tourist attraction.

“Boy did I look good on that cover,” Dale remembered and that was when the American poster boy Skye was written into her script and he took her away from the rainy mist of the United Kingdom. Introducing her to the golden beaches of Bay Harbor, Florida the Don Juan from the states never gave a thought she could be out of the money.

“Honest to goodness he was my cowboy,” in a whisper she confessed about the life filled with romantic terraces that graced a beautiful ocean.

Then all of a sudden after Skye watched a film he was obsessed with being a hot rod. And when the American Hot Rod Association had a meeting on South Beach the two ventured over to check it out.

She innocently asked,” Tiz AHRA?” This came as an insult to Skye who decided to continue to rev up his engines as a hot rod. Feeling disappointed about the whole situation she returned to the British Isle.

Walking back to the castle there was a man standing ready to toss his lunch in the garbage can. “You look hungry?” He asked.

Taking a step back she refused at first, but the conversation continued and the mature character claiming many interesting things brought back her glamour by just being nice. When the discussion dwindled down an offer to use a ticket to tour the castle was made by the enchanting fellow. “That would be great, what is your name?” she asked.

“Hal.”

Which made her hand stick out, “Dale, it’s nice to meet you. “
