Deceitful Mother
Karen met Peter on holiday. They fell in love and everything seemed blissful and had a holiday romance.
She came home and applied instantly for a visa for him to settle with her. She worked and was getting things ready for marriage.
It took a few years, meanwhile Peter had committed a crime against another woman and it was all over town where he lived.
Someone took the trouble of writing to Karens mother. Telling of the awful thing he had done and warn against this man.
Karens mother kept quiet about it because she hated Karen and burned the letter.
She never told Karen. Karen had married him and trouble came. Karen only found out through a neighbour who spat it in her face. Not knowing what to do she bottled it all in her mind. She asked her mother but she didn’t answer. Why would her mother do that? Then Karen started thinking about her mother.
She acted like a cripple always sitting on her couch pretending she wasn’t able to do things for herself. She had Karen as her carer doing everything for her from food to bathtime. She never really praised Karen except scold her. Karen was used to it. Never did she once think a mother would do that. Karen also thought of her letter went missing was it her mother that hid it. Karen had applied to college but never received her acceptance letter. Why would her mother do that to her is beyond her understanding. Just why ?
