Conversation From Above

Like Sir Winston never heard the term “11th” hour before as he had his cup of tea on the perch looking over the village that felt like it was going to be taking over by an opposing force.

“I am so sorry” Tacitus came in short of breath, “I raced a mile and a half to get here as soon as I could.” Seeing the one-time leader that made the heavenly powers that be happy since his name had that peaceful notation of being in a church.

“Do you believe that I got the nice placement here due to my name,” Sir Winston asked the Roman historian who was doing the books for centuries.

“Yes, he replied, in an honest sense, the reason you are here is due to your name,” Tacitus spoke in a philosopher’s tone that sounded like an educator bringing a student to closure through knowledge.

“Is there something wrong with that?” Sir Winston looked for answers.

“No,” Tacitus responded, “what matters is how you handle the situation.”

Peering down to the village that was ready to be taken Sir Winston felt helpless knowing that all his strategies could not be implanted since he could not communicate with the community below instead, he can only hope for the best.

“Is there something that is bothering you Sir Winston?”

“I hope that I did not make any mistakes that could come back to haunt me,” he started to confess with honesty, “you know it was tax that divided us in the first place and then after a few generations we came back together and now we are friends.”

Tacitus listened as Sir Winston continued, “it’s just like that space station thing they have a couple miles from here, everyone started exploring but then one day someone laid down the law and…”

“Revolution?” Tacitus finished the sentence with a question mark monitoring this one-character superhuman heroic delusional action, “that is how these things usually come about. A revolution.”

“You think so?” Sir Winston inquired watching the episode unfold, “I just wish this Joe guy would understand that he is through.”

“Joevia,” Tacitus pointed out with Sir Winston giving him a look that would ask where that one did come from, “Joe Via, Joe through, I made up a new word.”

“Look Sir Winston, Joe maybe biting his time and still has some beneficial plans to conquer before,” Tacitus explained.

“Don’t even say coming here?” Sir Winston replied.

As the day progressed the story continued to be told with both Sir Winston and Tacitus showing their sides. Then suddenly there was a boom and throughout the land the first statement from one of the newcomers in the holy paradise could be heard loud and clear.

“Read my lips, here is $1,500,000 now quit running around,” the words came from above after the voice’s wife pulled out the cash from her purse. This action sparked one of the residents from below who had major real estate holdings due to royal standings to take heed of the situation by saying, “you all are fired.”

When afternoon turned to night and evening transitioned into morning Sir Winston came back to his perch to notice the village was no longer threatened to be taking over instead there were lights down there making points that would guide them through another decade.
