A Novel Booking Fantasy

Realizing the afternoon delight was ending Albert found out she was out of money and her name was not in lights anymore.

“I am getting the feeling Albert A Scootin real soon,” she thought to herself putting the paperback science fiction novel down on the placement mat that was comfort food before a night shoot.

“I still have my sweet moves to be in this place,” the young lady gritted her teeth knowing she was still bolder to be in any show, “a favorite and an easy winner maching time moving up the cinema ladder.”

Then it happened Moonwards Hanover the rosy political kid was scratched from the production and this was Albert’s big break to be a headliner in a small-town unspooling. Directed by Chief Altawick on a low budget having a goal where the whole town came out to the drive in for a one-night extravaganza. “This was a true small caring audience that would enjoy the experience of watching her read lines on the wooden screen,” she pondered.

“I told Chief Alatawick who was always been out of the money that my image was the winning linc to the show and that should have been clear when the data was submitted into his computer,” Albert placed enough money on the table that included the tip and for a second checked her time watch device before heading into the Brigadoon setting that was selected as the winning area to shoot the film.

Suddenly, the canyon style sand was disturbed when a red sports car approached and Albert flung her pocketbook over her shoulder, “Do you still love yourself in this place? B Dalton,” Albert inquired using her theatrical voice to be heard.

On the passenger side the window rolled down and an explanation was rendered, “Albert, Dalton did it because he is a winner and his victory daze wil win in any showing.”

Albert listened peering at the glass protector closing electronically leaving the model in a gasp.

Taking a step back the tires once again spewed the Arizona landscape which made Albert enraged, “Dream on Dream on,” a scream was let out, “your names are no longer in lights either and you are out of the money too!”

Watching the California license plate start to blur Albert decided to walk through the oasis leaving the unnamable diner only to travel to her workplace mirage.

“My name is still Albert Barnes, and I am still a noble character in this industry,” she said strutting down the path to the nowhere fantasy touted as the renaissance to her career.
