A Fleeting memory (short story version)

Here I am, off to bed after a long day of work. I start to fall into a daze when I see a pale blue figure looking at me. I feel like I should know them. They try to say something to me, but I couldn’t make out their words.

Her body flickered for just a moment, and I suddenly remembered who she was. My heart is conflicted as I come to my conclusion on what to do. I tried to hug her, to hug my sister who gave me strength. But she faded away too quickly, now I'm alone once more as I try to sleep.

I finally fell asleep after a while. What is this place. I wonder as I see a world beyond my wildest dreams. Slowly I move forward and search for anyone or anything to talk to, to answer my questions. Slowly I start to forget evrything and immerse myself in this new world. I started to live a new life. But I still felt a hole in my heart. Like I was still missing something. Like my soul was longing for someone. I still went about my days as usual, until my village, my family, was destroyed. Now I am looking for any reason at all to still live in this cruel world. After I have lost everything that even mattered to me at all.
