2 Necropolis: Scene 2: Stepping into the hot sunlight


Stepping into the hot sunlight from the cool damp interior of the G.N.P.D central command building, Nero feels his body’s immediate reaction and breaks out in a quick sheen of perspiration. The sun is hot; the wind was blissfully cool, rushes around him cooling his fresh breaking sweat.

It is spring in Golgothica or what passes for spring. Quickly surveying the nearby gray stone buildings and stone funerary sculptures by artists and masons of the last 500 years of the cities existence. He muses as to the time it took to build them. Each is a testament to the power and wealth and madness of the dearly departed. Nero’s eyes sting and his pupil’s contract, he tosses on his sunglasses and begins to descend the finely carved granite steps leading down to his where his partner is waiting near their jet black 1965 Lincoln Continental his second major love and possession. It was modified with the newest tech thanks to the Department. It was even was converted to hover and had flight capability. Due to the fact that some of these buildings/tombs’ upper levels could only be reached By flying vehicles. This is where crime founds its bitter root. It's not like everyone had a flying car in this death trap of a city only the wealthy, members of the Consortium, and the Constabulary utilize these vehicles, Everyone else is forced to drive ground cars.

One of the only things he brought over from the states besides a few clothes and personal mementos. This car nearly cost him his savings and life. But, he was never returning stateside, this Necropolis was it. Home. And it was his baby, his Black Beast, he loving called…... Leaning against the driver’s side door was Jearith a cocky newbie transferred from Neo Los Angeles to GNPD from the states a few weeks….
