I hope heaven has pizza parlors, and little establishments with local craft beers. And jukeboxes with hits from the 50's. And good Italian ices. And drive-ins, and moonlight canoeing. And And And.............. The best of earth would be heaven enough for me.

We belong to the last generation that will make intellectually significant contributions. After that, the best to be hoped for is 'Not bad, for a human.' But then, if computers had to run on million year old technology, they wouldn't do so well either.

When someone says that the poetry of Shakespeare, Shelley, Keats, etc. is boring I don't know what to think of them, any more than I would know what to think of someone who said that love is boring.

It is as absurd and futile to try to explain the meaning of a poem by constructing a prose paraphrase of it as it would be to use the same method to try to explain the meaning of a painting, dance, or musical performance.

If I can turn back the clock,
there would be a key to a lock,
where the hands of times,
comes full circle and chimes.

The heart is feeling organ more than a reasoning organ. I would be willing to bet, that on a subatomic level, the ticks and tocks are always disagreeing.

If all musical works were written with that touch of liveliness and creativity, they would endure even against time.
