Many poems are spoiled by saying too much. The reader must be allowed to participate, fill in spaces with his or her own feelings, or the experience becomes a lecture...and I have hated those since childhood

The things I post here as my Quotes about poetry are not intended as rules to be followed but as propositions to be discussed. It is also important to understand that they have been developed a posteriori, not a priori.

Free will is always followed by accountability.

Forgiveness is freedom. As long as one holds on to the hurt, one remains a victim. Vengeance can become an addition. That will span generations if allowed to continue....

AI should not be allowed on creative writing sites. When identified use, the writer should be banned, in an effort to keep the integrity of honest poetry free from artificial stink. AI will soon write a new interpretation of the bible I am certain. A logical interpretation, but void of spiritual essence. AI is not a tool, like an encyclopedia or text book with valuable examples of meaningful reference, it is a soulless entity that will lead to ever greater intellectual and moral depravity.

Dating is so important to a long lasting relationship. Get to know the other person really well, it's ok to date for a lengthy period. Consummating a relationship outside of marriage is still a covenant made, in God's eyes. Oxytocin is the bonding drug our bodies create. You are fighting physical and emotional connection when you don't respect the process. There is a lot of therapy gone through because God's program for relationships [or "ships" as the kids say] and marriages are not followed.

Indeed, each of us a pixel, of the human psyche...but important enough to Christ who allowed Himself to be crucified for all, no exclusions. We may see ourselves as mere pixels, but God sees us, perhaps, as part of the Greater Body of His Christ portrait..?! Who am I to argue with the One who gave me Life, and so much living opportunity? So much power...my conglomerate able to beautify or destroy an entire world?

I want to go above and beyond, and yet I am restricted by these chains made by society. If someone wants to go beyond what society expects of them, then why should they not be allowed to? Go beyond what society expects of you, and break those chains.

taken is the life
we lived
and are allowed, brief
respite
from desire
to be learned
further the beast
released to run
and have the beast, desire us again

Some wines should be allowed to breathe, others should be strangled as quickly as possible.

I followed your footsteps to your doorsteps ,just to be greeted by a stranger

Dear Self,
The world is small, they say. I am but an ant in a jungle of bushes --- with eyes but couldn't see. Guided by the smell of faith, I followed the thread to nowhere. Where this heart would lead? I don't know... Pursuing the unknown, hoping this journey will end me where my soul can peacefully rest.
Yours,

Just when the oysters allowed the pearls to shine under the moon light......
Just when the bud allowed petals to smile under glittering light.....
Just when the mist allowed the droplets to create a rainbow on the pane...
Just then I realised how blessed I am!!!
|
I have no answers, only questions into questions. For me, the greatest miracle and blessing, is being allowed opportunity to enter into the mystery of a new day. The wonder of a day.

Should you hear a war is started somewhere, it is the war itself make you upset. Shoud I hear, it is a reminder of how I was born, how I grew up as orphan, how I was not all allowed to be in school nor in my home, and how I was all miraculously hiding myself from every morning's and night's soldiers' fight, that make me not only upset, but feel a flashback of being killed over time. I am a middeleastern.

100 ships and 100 planes have been swallowed by Atlantic Ocean.

In my observation of humans, I have discovered that a lapse in judgement is almost always followed by a lapse of memory.

I too have come to the cave;
within: strange, half-glimpsed forms
and ghostly paradigms of things.
Here, nothing warms
this lightening moment of the dawn,
pale tendrils spreading east.
And I, of all who followed Him,
by far the least . . .
The women take no note of me;
I do not recognize
the men in white, the gardener,
these unfamiliar skies . . .

Success means repetition, often followed by failure. Disguised as Opportunity and Achieved through Effort!

It’s so difficult to describe depression to someone who’s never been there, because it’s not sadness. I know sadness. Sadness is to cry and to feel. But it’s that cold absence of feeling— that really hollowed-out feeling.

Whenever you follow, you get swallowed

I follow you to be followed.

Within the hallowed walls of life we play with the dignities our pretense describes to children.

Slowly but steadily your rights are being taken away by the hysteria orchestrated in the communist country. China always wanted to force barbarism on the rest of the world. they seemed to have succeeded with coronavirus. This, if allowed will be goodbye to Freedom

"Purple is swallowed regal royal and read, the Jade Green shallow ponds of wading tidal pools silently investigated, inquisitive slender fingers turn over smooth rocks and hard shells, eventually surprises - Asteroidea - in the oceans of a distant Turquoise harbour are found and kept; in the pages of dreams, saltwater mirrors fed and treasure boxes opened and plundered." Leanne Lovejoy-Burton

Husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, lovers of forever; It takes two to dance... but after the musicians play, even if one leaves the floor, the other is not allowed to stop, as then the musicians would have nothing left to do.

We are all allowed to dream! Dream it to life and know you gave it your best no matter what, because not attempting at all is the highest form of failure.

What a strange saying swallow your pride. If you swallowed it wouldn't then become apart of you.
