Hail fellow, speak what you believe
and watch your deeds, lest you deceive
by conduct, values you profess.
Caprice, says spider, spins in stress
a whimsy-web, not worth the weave.

No one escapes their words. Like spiderwebs and flypaper. Eternal entanglement.

I am pissed off with this site - I, the lovely Edna Sweetlove, have submitted 6 poems here and they've been viewed/seen by over 330 people. How many comments do you think I have had? FOUR and they were about as useful as t-i-t-s on a bull and as interesting as a stale fart in a bottle. Why don't you all join a more sensible website? Here's the link: http://ednaspoetrysite.proboards.com/

Spiders are my only friends, I climb inside their tiny webs.

Usually the darkest corners
Where judging monsters hide
Are in the buildings with a cross on top
And righteous enforcers within.
They piously talk about God,
But mostly they point out the cobwebs
In the corners of your life,
Left when Jesus chased the spiders away.
