September Sestet (SS) Poetry Contest

What to Submit? Please read and follow all my rules in order to receive a placement. I only disregard poems that do not give what I ask for, if I discover they are AI or plagiarized or if I consider the poem very badly written.

For this challenge, write me a sestet related to September. (PUT SS after your title so that I avoid reading it before judging the contest). It could be about the weather, nature, ending of summer, beginning of fall, birthstone or flowers of the month, etc. I will even allow a simple reflection of your mood at the moment, but at least with an allusion to the month of September.

Sestet has more than one definition. I am simply going to ask for six lines of NEW poetry, whether rhyme or free verse, whatever. Make your poem sing and be as fresh as September. As always, I prefer well-punctuated and grammatical poetry with outstanding imagery and/or cleverness. I will check randomly for AI or plagiarism. And whatever form you choose to write in, be true to that form.

Preparing Your Entry

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts. 

English Language

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
