A good friend of mine advised me not to leave the Soup. He told me to stay and use the gift that God gave me, the gift of words. But I was too stubborn to listen. After three weeks of being hard-headed, I woke up this morning and asked myself..."Milt, what the hell are you doing?!"..."You pay membership fees just like everyone else!"..."Why should you leave?!" Those of you who are familiar with my style of writing, know for a fact that I am not the type of individual to "personally attack" someone because of their race, religion, gender or political views. I've been with the Soup for over three years and I'm not about to "piss it away" because of an angry, color-conscious soul who's obviously upset that most of America has changed within the past fifty years! Another friend of mine told me that it's a hell of a good quality in a man who "speaks his mind". With that, I respectfully agree. However, it can be a dangerous quality in a man who speaks without using his mind. If I write a blog or a poem that requires a detailed explanation, send me an e-mail at miltontoran6167@att.net. A positive interpretation can prevent a negative misinterpretation. To those I've grown to love and respect over the past three years, I thank you. God bless you. To that wonderfully gifted friend who encouraged me to "stick around", a special thanks to you!
