Lucky, I would say, are those whose souls are connected to many a world, one of which that world where you feel and need to be utterly disconnected from the world of the mundane.. a world of no borders.. a world as wide and as deep as your imagination can afford..
Though intangible, this world is as real as your very existence.. an ivory tower in which you seek food for your hungry mind and thirsty heart..
Reading and writing, nutritious and fulfilling as they are, enable the soul to satisfy growing needs, experience many a state and develop new feels..
A sweet retreat to mend what is broken, deepen what is shallow, widen what is narrow, make whole what are of parts.. what a joy! What a satisfaction!
Then, comes that time when you find yourself breaking loose from that splendid isolation to connect once again with your earthly world to satisfy the need to bond with family and loved ones and feed your Self with mundane life and activities that define, in a sense, who you are..
A body here.. a soul there.. a heart elsewhere.. a mind in between striving hard to harmonise a unity..
Every single world infuses into you a very specific mood.. dictates an emotional spirit and a frame of mind.. Each has a unique taste.. and losing touch, for a long time, with one of them is unendurable!
Here I am, in this in between state!
Away from Poetrysoup for quite a time, I have been missing a lot being immersed in the world of poetry.. unable to give heart and mind to writing, reading and commenting as I have been bonding with the world I share with my family and loved ones, deriving a great pleasure and contentment from their very joy and satisfaction.. along with being through a soul enriching time of spirituality of Ramadan, the holy month..
These are moods of a poet’s worlds.. these are parts of a poet’s words..
Happy Eid! Eid Fitr Mubarak!
Deepest regards and blessings to my dear fellow poets and friends.
