The rape of a child is a violent act of contempt, not an expression of sexuality or affection.

The damage created by victims of child abuse is enormous.

I know I was a victim,

I became an alcoholic

I became a sex addict.

If only all people cared more about others and not just themselves and their own- it would surely eradicate much evilness in the world. As adults we should feel responsibility for not only ourselves but for others including the next generation, earth and animals...that's what I think.

In my harbor, there was no lighthouse. Just two sharks that circled my innocence, grabbing a feel. A second-grade teacher followed by a ninth-grade janitor scenting blood, bait, boy as if I was their prey. The sea held this secret for fifty years and in its aftermath, nothing was ever at bay.

I commend you for posting such a raw and honest blog. A survivor myself being no doubt why I've stayed in a relationship with a hard core alcoholic, the understanding of how he came to be an addict: childhood sexual abuse; and in no small part my own self image/love undermined by the abuse I endured as a child. It is rampant.

Dr. , If this had happen to you I'm so sorry.. I'll help you remove a few limbs. This is a topic that scares me for any child. Kidnappings occurs for human trafficking and as you can hear it is still happening all over the world. I know I shouldn't think this way, but it makes me wonder if some of the little girls they can not fine after being taken from the parents have found their fate this way..

sad sad sad on so many levels Doc. In the UK they have an agency called 'childline' and they receive countless calls from children. I recently wrote a fictional poem (but sadly these things do happen as I read about it in the press) on abortion about a child who becomes pregnant after being gang raped an emotive subject but I never know what my muse will come up with next . hugs Jan xx
