Ode to a friend

just a few spots left, in my contest of Ode to a friend. For all of you who've entered, I'm so ever grateful as I read each of your poems. I've learned much about the human condition called friendship.

there are only 6 more openings, and if you are mentoring a 'newbie' as someone has done for me, encourage them to enter, as there is no real form or demands of grammatical corrections for this particular write. My use of this contest was to learn how to judge, and become familiar with the process.

I've become surprisingly closer to those in poetry soup because of this subject. We are human by nature, and our Friendships are what I believe are but just a facet of what separates us from the animal Kingdom...

Thank you once again for all your participation, and look forward to many more contests.

BTW, all entries are in, and now begins the arduous task..I've been told that many do not like to see multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd listings..what are your thoughts? To all and any who care to share...

Nikko, your comedic comments always leave me with a smile...nice to meet you, I've enjoyed reading some of your shtuff! Nice and reflective...oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to start by introducing myself, "Hi, I'm Michael and I'm a PS addict"...and the crowd yells back "WELCOME!!!"

oh btw, I read your comments on my Soupy addict poem-- heehee, welcome to the club, as far as I know, there's nothing-- so I have been struggling with this addiction for 2 years now-- welcome to the club! Haha :D Good luck to us! It can only get worse-- O_o. My name is Nikko and I am a Soup addict.

It was a great topic and one that really made many of stop and think about these people who mean so much to us, but we seldom stop and say anything about it. thank you Lee

the last few entries are always the hardest to get Michael but u will get them and then enjoy the process of judging... many grand entries for the theme of friendship..good luck luv..
