Debbie Knapp Biography

being close to nature is what brings me inner peace. i love all of gods creature's and enjoy the sights and sounds found outdoors. i express my thoughts and feeling through my poems. i wrote letters to god as a child in place of a diary and have begun to write poetry in a way to tell my stories and stories that could otherwise never be told. god and the angels walk with and guide me and this has been my strength and saving grace. i have always been a loner and different from others but here on poetry soup have felt most welcome and feel blessed to have many friends.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother...it is a difficult disease to go through...my mother too had dementia. May you find comfort here on PS.

Congrats on your poem being featured. Sorry for your mom's condition. It's a terrible thing both for the person with the illness and the family dealing with it. My mother's second husband got alzheimers. I really feel for people who have to face this trial.
