Here is a note to everyone who competed in the Create an Idiom Contest. The results are tallied and I am honored to have read some impressive works of art! The selection process was difficult leaving behind many pieces that deserved recognition.

Came here again to say thanks for going to my poem and making the nice comment even though i did not place. I don't think any other judge has ever done that for me before. whenever I have hosted a contest, I have always commented to all my winners but never took the time to track down the losing poems in my contest. (well a few i became aware of and said something to the poets, Anyway, I appreciated what you did.) and I did work very hard on that one for you, even though my idiom was a bit lame. haha!!!

I appreciate your comment, and that was what I felt, my idiom was too long. But at least it was kind of original!! I'm glad you liked it. Wish I could have found a way to shorten it up!!!

I am a teacher and feel responsible to always offer constructive criticism. BTW, I love your poem. It will be on my favorite list! The idiom was a bit long for me. The real irony is for me to judge your poetry when your body of work is so impressive - I would never consider any part of your poetry as lame. Thank you for entering and I look forward to reading and interacting in the future!
