Careful!!! Imposters!!!

EVERYONE WATCH OUT! I just found out i have an imposter. They are new and pretending to be me in comments? I just contacted PS admin to look into this. The name they are going by is 'Mellow Fellow'. Looks like they just started here a few days ago. Admin, I hope this is taken care of as soon as possible. I feel like I have a stalker, seriously. I just went to check and he is already deleted! What the heck is going on here. I am here to write and grow as a woman, not this.

Keep an eye on new poets. I am not trying to single them out, but this happens too often.

so do you mean that they have used your avatar or picture to fool people? that is horrible. I sure hope it gets straightened out.

I have not had this to happen, I have had several people to write asking if they could use my poetry for "teaching purposes" but they never give me any further information. I usually end up blocking them because when I try to locate them, they aren't here.

Sorry this happened to you luloo but thankfully this person left like the coward they probably are. I too have been stalked on this site by another who leaves hateful comments on my poetry and other's directed at me but every time I write to the admin he deletes his comments and there is nothing they can do about it without proof. It is just something I have to live with if I want to be here.

Exactly!!! Copy and Paste always works. Having proof, is best in situations like this.

Screenshot - copy and paste the comments and then send them before they are deleted - then there is proof

Thanks sweet lady. They can't do anything about it they said. Since he's deleted. Can't they research deeper?

Lu, I got a message from this Mellow Fellow and had no idea he was a fake account, will see if I can find and block if I do, but you write that he is gone, good, this happens often, someone leaves in disgrace and thinks they can come back with a new name, but we are pretty smart on PS, I had a new poet use my user name and everyone thought she was me, I asked her to change it and she left, should be a way of stopping that, like they do on other sites . I wish admin could have a way of telling them the user name is not available, sorry this happened to you sweet LuLoo _Constance

I contacted admin. I just saw my reply email. Nothing they can do of course. This place will lose loyal poets if it keeps up. Thanks sweet Dear Heart. I had no idea that happened to you! X:-)

It's sad that this happens on this site. I am not sure why this happens or why when poets are banned they come back under other names. I hope PS is doing something to make some changes. It is sad that even legit poets on here leave hurtful and negative messages. It changes the feel and comfort of the site.

wow... that's scary...he wrote a comment on my POTD, said he was new and reading the potd's, I grew suspicious because I checked out his account and he had entered your contest, and charlies and wrote CL after the title.. which was required in a past contest so I suspected it was someone old pretending to be knew and when he thanked me for sharing my poem I honestly thought it was GREG because that's what he often wrote... wow... this is scary if someone can impersonate us... thanks for the heads up

I didn't see that comment, I wish I would have. In this comment, he wrote something like "thank you dear Rob I am always honored to win in your contests x:-)" …….Just like I would! But it was from 'Mellow Fellow'. I looked like 6 times and couldn't believe it. But he's gone so I don't know if I'll ever get any answers. Only someone who knows how I sign my comments would write that. I don't get it at all. Thanks sweet Sandy, have a blessed day
