Write a book?

I have been sitting on this idea for a while to figure out someway to store my current- and future- poems beyond this site. I am currently in the process of making my book interior, however wanted to know if it was worth it. I do not intend to make a profit, I intend to have a tangible way of storing my poetry. Are there any tips from those who have already written books/Collections? I am currently using CreateSpace on Amazon to design my book and hopefully self publish. Are there things I should watch out for? Would you all like to see a book from the poems ive already written now? Thanks in advance to any advice.

Hi Sidney, I have published two books of poetry through CreateSpace for the same reasons you stated - storing my best poetry in book format, and for my family and friends to have as keepsakes. However, I have sold copies through Amazon and B&N which is a plus, since I have not paid CreateSpace for any professional services. If you can complete the process yourself, that is, type and layout the interior and design the cover yourself, then upload these so CreateSpace can approve it and then send you the proof as it will appear, it is definitely worth the investment of time. Well sir, there s no stop for success, if it s the only way than doing something is always better than doing nothing but you see if you do a self publishing in that way you ll not get much money neither much publicity, you ll have to tell peoples about your book and have to ask them to buy, the best thing is to do via a agent, it s difficult and a long process but definitely worth it, I was writing a novel but give jp because I want it to publish via penguin( the best publisher) but unfortunately there wasn t any agent in Pakistan with links to penguin, so that doesn t mean that I ll never write it, I ll but in the future, so firstly try via a agent, if not then it s the best
