Yes, I've added one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard within a wonderful video by Sting to my poem, "STILL". It's called "A Thousand Years". Come listen, watch, read and hopefully...enjoy!

Gorgeous tune ... I am a recording artist (under my moniker) and Sting's music has been a big influence. I have met him a couple of times, once at a small workshop at Berklee many years ago, and learned a great deal from him and Vinnie Colaiuta about polyrhythms and melody structure. I still play "Fragile" on guitar on a regular basis, as it is a favorite, along with "Sister Moon" and many others. "A Thousand Years" is a wonderful groove-driven song, that he wrote by building the words around the rhythm, not his usual process. Love it! I will check out your poem soon! :-)

Hi Greg! I didn't know you were a musician too...and wow! I can't believe you actually met Sting. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing he's done that I don't like. I have been a big fan for a long time. And, yes, yes this one is so special. The background music alone is just, as you said, "gorgeous" and so moving. I could listen to it every day and I don't think I'd ever get tired of it. I am a music-lover all the way...majored in music in high school and was supposed to major in music in college but due to an illness I had to change majors. I am better at writing lyrics than music though. Come listen to and read my songs: "Whirlwind", "Be Careful", and "Tired of Waiting".

Very nice, Faraz. I followed the link and yes, I like the song but for me, personally, it just isn't in the same league as Sting's version. IMO....Thank you for the comment and suggestion though. Carole Duet

I am sure that it must be thousand years by Christiana Perri, it s one of my favorite songs," I have died eveeyday waiting for you, darling, don t be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years and I will love you for a thousand more"well I believe that it s part 2 which is twilight version is more beautiful,
