Dear Poetry Soup Members, December 21, 2017
It is my pleasure to announce that one of ourmost talented members, Emile Pinet, has just published a book of his poetry. It has 386 pages of pure delight! Emile's book may be purchased at: Amazon.com(https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/141-2991596-2574245?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=emile+pinet%27s+fragmented+feeling A second book “Scattered Thought’s by Emile J. Pinet” will be on sale in about one week as well.
I am privileged to have a copy of both books. Each have about 385 poems included, that are some of the best poetry you will read anywhere. Those of you who are familiar with Emile’s
Poetry will agree, and those of you who do not know of his talented pen are in for a real
treat.
In his book “Fragmented Feelings” I was in awe of his imagery of beauty as only Emile can provide in his inimitable style as in “Innocence In Paradise”. Excerpt:
“As two hearts intermingle
Separate silhouettes merge.
And sharing body and soul
Sexual desires converge.”
Another poem that really moved me was “The Ghost Dance” also from “Fragmented Feelings”
Excerpt:
“The earth will be covered with soil
Burying the devils with white skins.
And on that soil grows a sea of grass
Where restoration of hope begins.”
I was deeply moved by his profound poem “Heaven’s A Sanctuary” in Scattered Thoughts. Emile’s nature poems shine with the brilliance of the sun and will romance you with the enchantment of the magnificent moon. Excerpt from his beautiful ‘Weeping Willow’ also in Scattered Thoughts:
“She stands beaten and bent
Looking exhausted and spent.
And like Medusa’s locks
Her coiffure sometimes shocks.”
Emile’s poetry will take you on an inspiring journey in which you will find hours passing before you are able to put his book down. This is what happened to me. I can’t think of a finer gift
to give another poet, or anyone who enjoys poetry, than either one of these books!
I wish you every success in the sales of your books Emile. Congratulations my friend! Happy
Holidays and many blessings, Connie Marcum Wong
