We Talk
We talk and people listen,
but are we truly ever heard?
We walk and people follow,
but do they ever walk a mile in our shoes?
We cry and people weep,
but does anyone care to ask why?
We smile and people wink,
but is it all just an act?
We understand and people comprehend,
but does it ever sink in?
We love and people care,
but is it true love?
I love, and I care
I listen and I understand
I lead and I follow,
but does that make me a good person?
Or doesn’t make me like everyone else?
