Rhyming Madness
I’m not in the mood to write tonight
I’m tired and sick and dim of sight
I’m dealt with stress and all’s a mess
Entangled in this plight…
The walls are caving in on me
Without someone to set me free
The words are coming rapidly
Though I’m not in the mood to write
Why can’t I empty out my head
And change this path on which I tread
This rhyming will continue on
Until the day I’m dead
I slowly reach to grab a pen
Now what was that I said again?
There’s no way I will ever win
As desperately I fight
I’m feeling so contrite
‘Cause I’m not in the mood to write
